Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Avtron, Inc for the acquisition of Pistol Grip Probe Assemblies, P/N C22161. The required basic quantity is seventeen (17). An option for up to three (3) years (up to ten additional kits per year) may be exercised. Options may be exercised in whole or in part. The item is a modified Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-Developmental Item (NDI) used in support of Organizational Level Maintenance of the V-22 aircraft. The Pistol Probe Assembly is recommended to be used with the T477W Ohmmeter to perform bonding checks on the V-22 aircraft. The C22161 Probe Lead Assembly is able to penetrate through paint and make accurate measurements within the operating range of the T477W ohmmeter. The Government does not own data rights to the Pistol Probe Assembly, P/N C22161. The Government is anticipating a firm-fixed price type contract. The delivery for the base year shall be NLT 60 days after contract award. Delivery of optional units, whether in whole or in part will be NLT 60 days after each option is invoked. The Government intends to procure as a Small Business Set Aside. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this service under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open their requirement to competition is based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. SEE NUMBERED Note 22
