8(a) SOURCES SOUGHT: We are looking for 8(a) firms to compete for a contract for Base Housing Maintenance Services for Coast Guard housing in Alameda, CA. The successful contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and transportation for maintenance and repair of housing units, grounds maintenance, pest control and janitorial services. Work will include change of occupancy maintenance, painting, electrical, carpentry and plumbing work to interior and exterior of housing units, as well as lawn mowing, tree pruning, pesticide application, and miscellaneous house cleaning and janitorial tasks. Total number of housing units is 582 in Marina Village and North, 300 newer Townhouse style 2, 3 & 4 bedroom multi-family units and Single-family units in Marina (Built 1991); 282 rehabilitated older Townhouse style 3 & 4 bedroom Multi-Family Units in North (built 1969). Property Bldg. 534 is 2,545 SF out of 10,180 SF (Built 1990), Parking Lot 10K SF including Storage Shed, Self-Help storage shed 200 SF, Old Youth Center Warehouse Bldg. 650 SF. Electric, Water and sewage utilities are Government Furnished. Phone, refuse & additional added contractor items are contractor's expense. The contract will include fixed-price, as well as task hour, and unit priced indefinite quantity line items. Both the Service Contract Act and Davis-Bacon Act will apply. The period of performance is anticipated to be a five year period starting 1 October 2002. The applicable NAICS Code is 561210 with a size standard of $20M.
