- Description
- This effort is for the contractor operation of a depot to provide to provide depot level maintenance of HELLFIRE Missiles, AGM-114/A/B/C/F/K/M; the M36 Training Missile;and the HELLFIRE Seeker (Trainer) to the U.S. Government/FMS customer in a timeframe necessary to maintain system readiness. The contractor shall conduct depot level repair in a Government-Owned Contractor-Operated (GOCO) facility located at Bynum, AL. The requirement consists of contract depot operations related to defferent types of items requiring processing and repair for a period beginning not later than 31 December 2001 and continuing for 12 months with options for an additional 4 years (FY 03 -- FY 06). The performance of on-site depot level services to maintain system readiness for KIOW WARRIOR base HELLFIRE systems less missile and to provide limited readiness for APACHE base HELLFIRE systems less missile. The depot maintenance services will provide the needed test capability to monitor for safety related failure modes on the KIOWA WARRIOR and as a back up to the AN/TSM-205 which will support APACHE. These services will ensure a safe and operationally ready HELLFIRE system in the field. This contract is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source.
