Description
The Export-Import Bank of the United States intends to make a sole source award, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to Bureau Van Diijk for a period of five (5) months (1 May 2001 through 30 September 2001)for electronic financial information services. Bureau van Dijk is the electronic publisher and sole source for the following products: 1)"BankScope", which provides finacial data, ratio analysis, ownerhip, and ratings for 11,500 banks worldwide. Data will be accessed via an Internet protocol for three concurrent users and will provide updated analysis, in a spreadhseet format. Requests for new statements will be honored upon request. 2)"EIU Country Data", a statistical spreadsheet database of 257 economic indicators in time series for 195 countries. When accessed, the data shall provide a five to ten year historical forecast. 3)"Capital Intelligence" a selective downloading of bank rating reports and country banking surveys in SWOT format for approximately 225 banks from the Middle East to Far East Asia. The company's web-based spreadsheet databases include information such as original financial statements, ratio and other financial analysis from Fitch-IBA, unique ownership and subsidiary data, Reuter's news articles, bank ratings from Moody's, S&P, Fitch-IBCA, Capital Intelligence, and Thomson BankWatch. The program also provides extensive peer and statistical analysis, report formatting, and layout functions. The service further allows Ex-Im Bank to provide financial statements from banks for quick analysis by Fitch-IBCA for input into the Bureau van Diijk database. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Responses must be received, in writing, within thirteen(13)calendar days of publication of this notice. No telephone, fax, or email responses will be accepted. This is a sole source requirement and if after evaluation the agency determines that there is no other comparable service, an award will be made without further notification. Interested parties must submit sufficient descriptive literature with their response to prove their capability to satisfy the requirements. Respondents are encouraged to utilize their standard professional written business format. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for commercial items under the authority of FAR, Part 12.
