Description

The United States Air Force is requesting proposals for the furnishing of all plant, transportation, material, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to replace the existing Edward 5900 fire alarm panel with a Fire Control Instruments (FCI) 72 Series panel (or approved equal) at Building 1630, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts 01731. Work under the proposed contract includes surveying all existing devices, including but not limited to all pull stations, all detectors (smoke, heat, and duct) and enunciator, for compatibility with the new panel. Compatible devices shall be connected to the new panel. If existing devices are not compatible, or do not meet the applicable code requirements, they shall be replaced with an approved device. The period of performance for this project will be 30 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $50,000. The solicitation for this project will ONLY be available at Internet address: http://www.herbb.hanscom.af.mil Drawings are available for pick up at the below listed " hand carried" address. These items will not be mailed, and telephone requests will not be honored. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive a solicitation or award. Applications for CCR registration may be obtained or completed at the Internet address: http://www.ccr2000.com Tentatively, the RFP will be release on or about 30 Apr 2001. Quotations sent via Federal Express, UPS, or hand-carried, etc., shall be mailed to the same address. Award will be made on or about 25 May 2001. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after receipt of proposals, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. See Note 26.
