Description
EAST GRAND FORKS PHASE 1 LEVEES, EAST GRAND FORKS FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT, EAST GRAND FORKS, MINNESOTA. Principle feature of work include all plant, labor, materials and supplies required for construction of approximately 11,000 linear feet of levee, interior storm drainage including five pump stations, stoplog closures, recreation facilities including park shelters, restrooms, park equipment, trails and related equipment. Estimated order of magnitude of the requirement is more than $10 million. North American Industry Classification system (NACIS) Code is 234110; the Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 million. In the event the selected bid exceeds $1,000,000 and is from a large business, it will be necessary for that firm to submit a subcontracting plan that is acceptable to the Government prior to award. For the purposes of formulating a subcontracting plan, in the event one is necessary, the following subcontracting goals are provided for the bidders' information: Small Business-61.4%; Small Disadvantaged Business-9.1%; Veteran-Owned Small Business-3%; Women-Owned Small Business 5%; and Subcontract Reporting (SF294 & 295)-100%. These are goals, not quotas. Each subcontracting plan will be evaluated on its own merits and take into consideration the subcontracting opportunities available for this type of work. It is anticipated that seal bid solicitation DACW37-01-B-0010 will be posted to the US Army Corps of Engineers St Paul District World Wide Web site on or about 9 May 2001 with opening 12 June 2001. The official solicitation is available only by CD-ROM. Ordering of the CD-ROM shall be made by registering for it at the above web site. An unofficial version of the solicitation will be posted on the District's website. HOWEVER, ANY FORTHCOMING AMENDMENTS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE ON THIS WEB SITE. E-MAIL NOTIFICATIONS WILL BE SENT UPON ISSUANCE OF ANY AMENDMENTS TO ALL REGISTERED FIRMS. DUE TO E-MAIL MESSAGE NOTIFICATIONS MAY NOT BE RELIABLE BASED ON SYSTEM CONSTRAINTS, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT EACH REGISTERED FIRM CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES.
