REQUEST FOR CELL PHONE SERVICE PRESENTATIONS -- The Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (CDNSWC) located in Bethesda, MD is currently in the process of developing a competitive work statement for cell phone and related service to support users at various detachment locations. Existing cell phone service is comprised of the following: 196 phones at the Bethesda, MD site, 482 phones at the Philadelphia, PA site, 40 phones at the Suffolk, VA site, 8 phones at the Bayview, ID site and 20 phones at other various locations throughout the United States. The specific number of cell phones identified are for informational purposes only and are subject to change. The main purpose of this announcement is to offer cell phone service providers an opportunity to visit CDNSWC to discuss the Government's cell phone requirement and to present to the Government, the various plans/options that are currently available. The Government shall also present various problems/shortcomings that currently exist with our present service and ask for suggestions/solutions in these areas. CDNSWC shall reserve the right to award multiple contracts for this service depending on the cost advantages to the Government. All cell phone service providers are encouraged to participate. After the CDNSWC cell phone requirement has been completely defined, a separate announcement shall be placed in the Commerce Business Daily providing potential offerors the opportunity to request a solicitation package.
