Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with R.E. Atckison Company, Inc. Azusa, CA for the acquisition of eight (8) Aircraft Maintenance Platforms P/N 47R6420. Required delivery date is 26 July 2001. The item is a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) item used in Organizational Level Maintenance for the V-22. The Maintenance Platform is used during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, and inspection tasks. It is required the platform also provides sufficient platform height and load capacity for an aircraft mechanic and a toolbox. The proposed acquisition is for an item that the Government does not own specification or drawings. The technical data and drawings for the Aircraft Maintenance Platforms are proprietary to R.E. Atckinson Company, Inc. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. SEE NUMBERED Notes 22
