Description

Amends subject Special Notice published in April 13, 2001 issue of the Commerce Business Daily to read as follows: The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Memphis, Tennessee intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Rhodes Lauck and Associates, 3268 Commercial Parkway, Memphis,TN 38116 for the purchase and installation of a Lanier CQUENCE Dictation Management System and a General Electric(GE) K2020RR Pathspeed Dictation Dialer. Items will interface with an existing General Electric Medical Systems (GEMS) Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) The digital dictation system must be able to pass patient demographics from the GEMS Pathspeed work station through a GE 2020RR Pathspeed Dictation Dialer that will be installed and reside inside the Central Processing Unit of the work station. The GE K2020RR Pathspeed Dictation Dialer must pass the demographics to the Lanier CQUENCE Dictation Management System prior to dictation by the physician. The dictation system must have upgradeable software and operate with no modems. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Rhodes Lauck and Asscocites to provide all labor, materials, supplies and installation for the interface with the existing dictation system. The proposed action is for supplies and services which the goverment beleives that only one responsible source can provide the supplies and services that will satify the agency requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, but responses received on or before COB April 20, 2001 will be evaluated. Offerors responding to this notice must provide proof of successful interface between the Lanier CQUENCE Dictation Management System and the GEMS PACS when submitting their responses. Informattion received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conuct a competitive procurement.
