- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation. Descriptive literature must accompany quote, see clause 52.214-21 DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE. Item 0001- Mobile Rubber Conveyor Belt System, qty: 6 each. Extended description: flat, continuous, variable-speed, motorized, standard hp system, with full-load speed capacity 80 feet per minute (plus or minus 5 feet per minute), forward and reverse capability; dimensions: 20 feet long, 25 inches high, 30 inches wide, minimum continuous weight capacity is 500 pounds, 200 volts, 60 hertz, industry standard belt thickness and color. U/P_______________________ T/P________________________ Item 0002- Portable Rubber conveyor Belt System, qty: 2 each. Extended description: flat, continuous, variable-speed, motorized, standard hp system, with full-load speed capacity of 80 feet per minute (plus or minus 5 feet per minute), forward and reverse capability. Dimension: Maximum weight of system 200 lbs, 20 feet long, 25 inches high, 30 inches wide, minimum continuous weight capacity is 500 pounds, 200 volts, 60 hertz, industry standard belt thickness and color. U/P____________________ T/P______________________ Item 0003- Stationary Declining Conveyor Belt System, qty: 2 each, extended description: 6 feet adjustable incline, 4 feet to 5 feet wide, 6 feet long, 25 inches high, flat, continuous, variable-speed, motorized, standard hp system, with full-load speed capacity 80 feet per minute (plus or minus 5 feet per minute), forward and reverse capability, 200 volts, 60 hertz, industry standard belt thickness and color. U/P____________________ T/P______________________. Each item will be used to load and unload product on a level platform, to and from a packaging machine. Frequency of use for each item is 1500 to 3000 number of packages, 7 days a week, 8 to 12 hours per day. All responsive bidders must agree to provide a full one-year warranty and one-year on-site maintenance, maintenance to be conducted at least once every six months. Desired delivery is 45 days after award, FOB Destination Tracy California 95376. If your quote is for other than FOB Destination, the freight charges from one point of origin must be identified as a separate line item. CLAUSES INCORPORATED BY FULL TEXT: 52.214-21 DESCRIPTIVE LITERATURE (APR 1984) (a) "Descriptive literature" means information (e.g., cuts, illustrations, drawings, and brochures) that is submitted as part of a bid. Descriptive literature is required to establish, for the purpose of evaluation and award, details of the product offered that are specified elsewhere in the solicitation and pertain to significant elements such as (1) design; (2) materials; (3) components; (40 performance characteristics; and (50 methods of manufacture, assembly, construction, or operation. The term includes only information required to determine the technical acceptability of the offered product. It does not include other information such as that used in determining the responsibility of a prospective Contractor or for operation or maintaining equipment. (b) Descriptive literature, required elsewhere in this solicitation, must be (1) identified to show the item(s) of the offer to which it applies and (2) received by the time specified in this solicitation for receipt of bids. Failure to submit descriptive literature on time will require rejection of the bid, except that late descriptive literature sent by mail may be considered under the Late Submissions, Modifications, and Withdrawals of Bids provision of this solicitation. (d) The failure of descriptive literature to show that the product offered conforms to the requirements of this solicitation will require rejection of the bid. (End of provision) 52.212-2 EVALUATION Commercial Items (JAN 1999) applies to this solicitation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offer whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability of the item(s) offered to meet the Government requirement and price(s), to include any freight charges that are identified as a separate item. Effective 01 March 1999, all payments made by the government will be made by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All DoD Contractors are required to be registered within the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and throughout final payment of any contract resulting from this request for quotation.
