- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Tri Tool, Inc. for the acquisition of Tube Cutter Kits P/N 05-1354. The required basic quantity is for twenty-four (24). An option for up to three (3) years (up to ten additional kits per year) may be exercised. Options may be exercised in whole or in part. . The item is a modified Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-Developmental-Item (NDI) used in support of Organization Level maintenance of the MV-22 aircraft. The Tube Cutter Kit is a self-contained set of tools and accessories designed to cut aircraft hydraulic tubing. The set includes a pneumatic drive, 18" flexible drive, tube cutters (sizes 03, 04, 05, 06, 08, 10, 12, and 16), maintenance tools, and spare cutting wheels. These components are housed in a case. The cutting heads are manufactured from aluminum and hardened tool steel. This tube cutting set is capable of cutting tubing of the following materials: carbon steel, low alloy steel, chrome steel, chrome/molly alloys, stainless steel, titanium, inconel, copper, aluminum, and copper nickel alloys. The Government does not own data rights to the Tube Cutting Set P/N 05-1354. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The delivery for the base year shall be NLT 120 days after contract award. Delivery of optional units, whether in whole or in part will be NLT 120 days after each option is invoked. The Government intends to procure as a Small Business Set Aside. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this service under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open their requirement to competition is based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. SEE NUMBERED Note 22
