Description

The VA Medical Center, Salem, Virginia intends to issue o/a May 11, 2001, solicitation IFB 658-39-01, HVAC IMPROVEMENTS, ROOM 30, BUILDING 7. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision to completely prepare site for building operation, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and renovation of rooms 30, 30A through 30C, 30E, 32, 34, CB-11 and CB-12. Work includes the provision of a design-built balanced air conditioning/heating system using existing chilled water and hot water heating piping and new metal ducts to transport heating/cooling in Room 30C; furnishing and installing of a new fan coil unit for heating/cooling rooms CB-12 and 30E; new fan coil unit for cooling only in Room 32. Room 30A will be used as a mechanical room for new air handling equipment for Room 30C. NAICS Code 235110 applies to this procurement with a small business standard size of $11.5M in gross annual receipts. The estimated cost range for this procurement is $25,000 -- $100,000.
