Description
Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to rehab the potable water lines at Coast Guard Station Siuslaw River, Florence Oregon. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: (a) Demolish all potable water distribution and service lines connecting the housing units and the Station Building. Cap the outlet from the 2" existing distribution line to the housing units and designate the 2" existing water distribution line for irrigation and boat house use only;(b) Repair a broken irrigation water line inside the valve shed;(c) Maintain, test and certify the existing reduced pressure backflow preventer assembly; (d) Provide a new 2" potable water distribution line with a double check backflow preventer assembly from the City of Florence' new 2" water distribution line to the Coast Guard's housing units and the Station Building; (e) Provide new laterals from the above 2" distribution line to all housing units; (f) Provide a 1" potable water service line with a meter and a gate valve from the new distribution line to the Station Building (g) Demolish all existing 3/4" potable water service line and associated 3/4" steel globe valves and replace them with a new 3/4" potable water service line with gate valve and individual meter for each of the housing units. Modify and isolate the existing water service lines inside the housing unit so each housing unit will have its own separate water service line; and (h) Disinfect and pressure test all new water lines, valves, and fittings for leaks. The City of Florence will install a new 2" distribution line to facilitate work required by this contract. The period of performance is 75 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 and is open to both small and large business in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 234910. Size Standards is $27.5 NO TELEPHONE REQUEST WILL BE ACCEPTED.
