Description

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism intends to negotiate a modification with Taylor-Francis, Ltd., Carfax Publishing on a sole-source basis. The statutory authority to negotiate with Taylor-Francis, Ltd. Is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) under FAR 6.302-1. The objective of the proposed modification is to publish a series of invited articles on adolescent treatment research as a supplement to Addiction, a premier international journal in addiction research. The supplement will comprise overview and review articles on methodological issues in adolescent treatment research. It will contain 15 to 20 articles divided in three sections: (1) issues related to key constructs, measures, and implementation; (2) issues related to effectiveness of treatments for adolescents; and (3) issues related to modeling, analysis and interpretation. The Contractor is the leading international journal in addiction research and is the only company that can ensure wide circulation of the publication to a broad clinical as well as addiction research audience.
