Description

The Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division intends to contract for a indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract for repairs to ALCO Model 16-251-F diesel engines for the U.S. Coast Guard POLAR CLASS Icebreakers. The contract will be for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. This work is to be accomplished at the USCG Support Center, Pier 36, Seattle, WA. The solicitation will be issued on or about 21 May 2001, with a proposal closing date of on or about 25 June 2001. Period of performance will commence 01 October 2001 and conclude 30 September 2002 for the base year. If all options are exercised, the period of performance will conclude 30 September 2006. This is an unrestricted best value procurement. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts, loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing.
