Description

Kisatchie National Forest, Louisiana, is soliciting for a forest-wide service contract (FIXED-PRICE WITH ECONOMIC PRICE ADJUSTMENT) consisting of one basic contract period (date of award through 9/30/01) and four (4) one-year option periods for the mechanical site preparation of various areas located on any and/or all of five Ranger Districts. Work consists of shearing standing trees less than 8" in diameter (measured 4-1/2 feet above ground level) that are not designated as reserve or protected trees and to pull a government-furnished 8 to 10-foot drum chopper over each designated area to chop and compress the sheared trees and logging slash according to the specified requirements. Contract services will not start before June 2001. This is a small business setaside. NAICS CODE 115310; SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD IS $5.0 MILLION.
