17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 4TAG21015993 and is being issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 06. This requirement is a small business set-aside. SIC 7379, Computer Related services Not Elsewhere Classified, size standard $18.0 million. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -This request is limited to Contractors that have services these adequated building over a number of years and know the special techniques required to complete installation in these buildings. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- - -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- SUBJECT: Statement of Work-Installation of 17 NORSTAR phone systems recently purchased, need to be installed in the greater Pennsylvannia area. a. Background: The 99th RSC has responsibility for 167 centers across a five state area. Over the last ten + years the phone systems have become outdated and frequently require maintenance service. Therefore, it is time for some of the more anaquated systems to be replaced. Some of these systems will allow for a significant increase in services that do not result in additional charges from the LEC. b. Scope: The installer will only be responsible for replacing current equipment configurations. No re-running of wiring (except in cases where exsisting wire is bad) or changes in locations of extension is authorized.. 1. Technical Requirements: a. Installation requirements: (Building requirements will be installed as presently configured) (1) Install NORSTAR phone systems in compliance with manufactures suggested installatoin methods. a. Rewire faulty lines b. Ensure grounding according to equipment standards c. Program system in accordance with facility managers request d. b. Installation requirements: Fiber: Vendor will provide and install a 6-strand 62.5 multimedia fiber optic cable to the 57 drops/wall jacks initially identified. This cable will be Plenum rated and terminated with SC duplex connectors. All strands will be tested at both directions with a power meter at both 850 and 1300 windows. . Copper: Vendor will provide all materials and labor necessary to install a total of 57 CAT-5 enhanced plenum rated data drops. These drops will terminate in a patch panel, which will be mounted into a freestanding rack. All testing will be completed according to the requirements established by the TSB-67 standard. The vendor will provide "builds and test results" for both the fiber optic and Cat-5 (E) cable. Vendor requirements: Contractor must have a full-time RCDD on staff, and have at least one BICSI certified installer.
