Description: This is Amendment 1 to the synopsis entitled 2500 AMP, 600 VAC, SWITCHBOARD, Solicitation Number RFQ9-WSRE-W01-1-49Q which was posted March 27, 2001. You are hereby notified that the following questions and answers are incorporated into the RFQ. Question 1: Please clarify if the large circuit breakers must be draw-out type. Answer: None of the circuit breakers are draw-out type. Question 2: Is any physical installation or electrical work required under this RFQ? Answer: No physical installation or electrical work is required. Question 3: Will any site visit be conducted? Answer: No site visit. Question 4: Is New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax to be included in the pricing? Answer: No. NASA is a federal government agency and is tax exempt. NASA does not pay New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax on supplies, only on services that are performed in New Mexico. Question 5: In the specifications 2.2, it is stated that the maximum height is 90"; are there any other space restrictions to include length, width, and depth in the area where the switchboard is to be installed? Answer: Maximum dimensions are 30 inches deep by 9 feet wide by 90 inches tall. Question 6: Is there a requirement for installation of the switchboard upon delivery? Answer: No. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended.
