- Description
- Request for quotation issued for the following Neptune-Benson Inc. pressure filter tanks and manifold distribution system. These parts are components parts for a major repair of existing life support pressure sand filter system used to purify sea water for laboratories at the NOAA/Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC). The tanks and manifold system must be Neptune-Benson Inc. brand to be compatible with the complete equipment system that is part of current repair effort. Specifications for the pressure filter tanks: 48 dia. x 84" side shell tanks with fiberglass construction using vinyl ester resin, rated 75 psi operation pressure, schedule 80 PVC internal piping and distribution system, sight glass assembly, air relief and drain connections, dual saddle base for seismic stacking installation, 14" x 18" manway with spare manway gasket for each tank, full charge of filtering media (#20 with support media), filter includes 15-year limited warranty. Specifications for manifold distribution system: 8" x6" Schedule 80 PVC quad 3-way manual face piping with 316 stainless steel fasteners. Manifold to be constructed for connection in a common area with four pressure filter tanks of the type described above, that are stacked two and two and face each other wing to wing. Valves to be Dominion wafer style butterfly valves with Rilsan coated aluminum body and discs, with metal parts exposed to sea water to be 316 stainless steel. Two 4.5" panel mounted pressure gauges (100 psi). All piping to be schedule 80 PVC, all metal parts exposed to sea water are to be 316 stainless steel. Quantity three (3) pressure filters tanks, and one (1) manifold distribution system. Provide price, availability, FOB destination Newport, Oregon. Also provide Federal Tax ID number and DUNS number, and published pricelist with quote. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
