Description

This is Amendment No. 1 to combined synopsis/solicitation No. DTRS57-01-Q-80015 titled Environmental Control Systems, published on March 30, 2001. The receipt date for proposals is extended to April 19, 2001 by 2:00 PM EST. The delivery date is changed to forty-five (45) days after receipt of order (ARO). Offerors are required to acknowledge receipt of Amendment No. 1 when submitting bid. This Amendment No. 1 provides answers to the questions submitted by offerors. Question 1 Specification calls for (2) 10 ton units, but the capacities required seem to indicate a 20 ton unit, i.e. Qt = 234 MBH and Qs = 217.4 MBH. Which is it? Answer Configuration of room requires (2) unducted units. Qt = 116 MBH @ 50% RH (each unit) will more than suffice. Question 2 Specifications say all alarm s shall be communicated to the existing Liebert site monitoring systems. What is the model number of the existing monitoring system? Answer Johnson Controls Metasys is currently monitoring system. Question 3 Specifications say that both units need to be delivered by 4/30/2001. Our lead times are currently running 4-5 weeks after receipt of order, which is beyond the 4/30/2001 due date. Is it realistic to mandate this date especially when the project hasn t even bid and been awarded? Answer Amendment No. 1 to combined solicitation/synopsis changes the delivery date to forty-five (45) days after receipt of order (ARO).
