General Information Document Type: Sources Sought Notice, Solicitation Number: Reference Number F04684-01-N0001 Posted: April 11, 2001 SIC: 3829 Description: 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California intends to issue a sole source contract to Foerster Instruments, Inc. for a Data Logging Ordnance Locator to be incorporated into a multi-cat sensor platform and is approved by the Non-Nuclear Safety Board. Instruments and features include: 1 each -- Dataline GPS English Software ID Number 1605208, 1 each -- Multicat Sensor Platform #1499300, 2 each -- 3 probe set without probes, 2 each -- Ferex DLG GPS Kartograph, 4 each -- Ferex Probe CON 650, 1 each -- Mounting Set #1614452, 1 each -- Probe Storage #1614681, 1 each -- Antenna mast #1666363, 1 each -- GPS Base Station Trimble Model 4700 Tricomm Radio Modem with 2 Tripods Trimble Antenna and Ground Plane, and 2 each -- Rover Station GPS Trimble Model 4700 Tricomm Radio Modem Antenna #22433-20 FEREX DLG GPS Handheld Trimble Antenna Trimble Backpack. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
