Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Air Craft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations with the sole source of supply, Seyer Industries, MO. The NAWCAD intends to procure 3each. Bearing Install/Remove Tool Set P/N 75D110092-1001. This item will be used for removing and installing fuselage bearings and engine bearings of all sizes used in the AV-8B aircraft, both staked and unstaked. This tool set also contains cutter assemblies used to cut the outer races. The tool set is required AV-8B Harrier maintenance. The Acquisition is for supplies which the government does not own specifications or drawings. Seyer Industries Inc. is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform this effort. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals must be received within 15 days. Response should reference N68335-01- R-0260. A determination by the government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government (SEE Note 22) CITE (W-144 SN334909).
