Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires ISIL, interim spare parts, in order to support the Jet Engine Test Instrumentation units procured under contracts N68335-00-C-0234 and N68335-01-C-0208. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate the modification with Racal Instruments, Inc., 4 Goodyear St., Irvine, CA 92618-2002. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of these spare parts, as they are the sole designer, manufacturer and integrator of the system at this time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
