Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being procured on an unrestricted basis using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The feedthroughs, connectors and sockets will be used in conjunction with existing Deutsch feedthroughs, connectors and sockets that are mounted on and being used on all Environmental Test Facility (ETF) vacuum chambers. The feedthroughs, connectors and sockets will be used to enhance the capabilities of the ETF to provide power distribution, test hardware control and data acquisition for customers. Therefore the feedthrough must be compatible with the Deutsch model DM5623-37PP-647 feedthrough. The vacuum end connectors must be compatible with the Deutsch model DS07-37195-8-5020 and the atmospheric connectors must be compatible with the Deutsch model DS07-3719S-8-059. Item 1 -- Quantity 100, Unit/Each, Item Description: P/N 1440005-001 or equal, 37 pin glass to metal hermetically sealed all copper contact socket vacuum feedthrough, stainless steel body, jam nut mounted for maximum panel thickness of .5 inch, leakage rate of less than or equal to 1 X 10-9 CC/SEC, temperature range of -50C to 200C, insulation resistance of 5000 megohms @ 500 VDC. 1 3/4 inch long X 1 3/4 inch outside body diameter X 1 1/4-18-UNEF 2A thread. Item 2 -- Quantity 25, Unit/Each, Item Description: P/N 1441004-102 or equal, Vacuum end connecter plug assembly, stainless steel body, 1 1/2 inches long {2 1/4 inches long including cable clamp assembly}, 1 5/8 inches in diameter with push-pull coupling ring to positively lock to feedthrough. Item 3 -- Quantity 25, Unit/Each, Item Description: P/N 1441004-104 or equal, Atmospheric end connecter plug assembly, stainless steel body, 1 1/2 inches long, {2 1/4 inches long including cable clamp assembly}, 1 5/8 inches in diameter with push-pull copling ring to positively lock to feedthrough. Item 4 -- Quantity 500, Unit/Each, Item Description: P/N 0058-029 or equal, Copper socket pin for connecter plug assembly. Approximately .08 inches in diameter X .625 inches long. Item 5 -- Quantity 500, Unit/Each, Item Description: P/N 0058-028 or equal, constantan socket pin for connecter plug assembly. Approximately .08 inches in diameter X .625 inches long. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-24. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 335931 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to MSFC is required within 180 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by April 20, at 3:30 pm local time and may be mailed or faxed to PS24-L/Becky LaRue, Procurement Office, MSFC, AL 35812, or fax at 256-544-8110, and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL: http://procure.arc.nasa.gov/Acq/Forms/Index.html to submit a quotation. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. Addenda to FAR 52.212-1 are as follows: MSFC 52.213-91, NFS 1852.211-70, 1852.214-71, and 1852.215-84. Reserve paragraph(s) (d), (e), (f), (h), and (i) in 52.212-1. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
