- Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: BASE ITEMS: (1) Renew DC Locker Bulkhead and Deck Plating, (2) Renew Sections of Transverse Bulkhead Plating (3) Renew Sections of Flat Bar on Frames and Longitudinal in AFT Steering Compartment, (4) Renew Hull Plating in Engine Room, (5) Inspect and Renew Skeg Top Plate, (6) Clean and Inspect Fuel and Waste Oil Tanks, (7) Remove and Dispose of Fuel, (8) Remove and Dispose of Oil and Oily Water , (9) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, (10) Repair Grey Water Tank and AFT Fuel Oil Tank, (11) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts, (12) Perform Stern Tub/Strut Alignment Inspection, (13) Inspect Bronze Sleeves in Various Shaft Packing Areas, (14) Renew Water Lubricated Propellers, (15) Inspect MDE Exhaust Stainless Steel Pipe, (16) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring and Renew the V850 Transducer, (16) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves, (17) Inspect and Overhaul Duplex Sea Strainers, (18) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudders, (19) Overhaul Stabilizing Fins, (20) Modify Sewage System Piping, (21) Hydroblast Clean Sewage and Grey Water System Piping, (22) Inspect and Preserve Auxiliary Space Bilge, (23) Renew Noise Dampling Tiles in AFT Steering and Battery Compartments, (24) Repair and Preserve AFT Steering Space, (25) Preserve Potable Water Tank(s), (26) Preserve Chain Locker, (26) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s), (27) Renew Draft Figures, (28) Preservation of Underwater Body, (29) Preserve Freeboard, (30) Preserve Aluminum Mast, (31) Inspect and Maintain Cathodic Protection System, (32) Renew Reference Electrode, (33) Renew Cathodic Anode, (34) Renew Shower Stall Bulkhead Panels, (35) Provide Temporary Logistics, (36) Routine Drydocking, (37) GFP report in accordance with solicitation Section H. OPTION ITEMS: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew Engine Room Skeg Top Plate, (3) Inspect and Install Government Furnished Propeller Shaft, (4) Perform Reduction Gear-to-Propeller Shaft Alignment Inspection (5) Remove, Fabricate, Fit and Install Shaft Packing Bronze Sleeves, (6) Repair Propeller Root Erosion, (7) Renew 18-inch Exhaust Stainless Steel Pipe, (8) Renew Rudder Upper & Lower Bearing, (9) Renew Lower Fin Stock Bearing, , (10) Preserve Underwater Body, (11) Renew Capastic Fairing, (12) Ultrasonic Testing, (13) Additional Temporary Logistics, (14) Composite Labor Rates, (17) Laydays. The vessel's homeport is Key West, FL. Vessel's availability is for FORTY-TWO (42) days, starting August 2, 2001. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required, in the form of certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings. Drawings are now available on CD Rom. The CD Rom sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued electronically at http://www.eps.gov/ and upon written request by mail on or about APRIL 27, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "ATTENTION: MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (DBES). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
