Description
Red River Army Depot (RRAD) in Texarkana, TX is seeking possible sources to provide the equipment listed below. Please respond if your firm is interested , or not, in providing this equipment. Rubber Denuding System RRAD has the assigned mission to rebuild Track Shoe and Roadwheel components for all tracked vehicles in the Army system. The depot is interested in identifying companies willing to sell or license equipment capable of denuding rubber from steel and aluminum track/roadwheel components. The equipment system must be capable of removing 100% of the rubber during the denuding process. The desired equipment must represent proven technology and be in use by existing industries. Roadwheels and track from the following vehicles are representative examples of normal requirements: (M2/M3 Bradley vehicles, M113, M88, M109, and M60). The selected contractor will be expected to furnish, install, and perform periodic preventative maintenance for a two year period after equipment acceptance. Two units are required that can denude 225 pounds of rubber per hour, 450 pounds per hour total. The equipment must withstand the rigors of 24 hour, 7 days per week operation. The systems must operate within the existing air permit requirements established by the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC).
