Description

NOTE: Any prospective bidder/offeror interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this solicitation MUST REGISTER ON OUR WEBSITE at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/ Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the internet after solicitation issuance. Do not send requests for solicitations to this office. Plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Description of Work: The work consists of raising approximately 29,000 linear feet of dike with approximately 750,000 cubic yards of materials (neat volume) from within the disposal area. In addition, an under drain system will be constructed; five weirs and drainage structures will be replaced; and two "bird islands" will be constructed within the disposal area. Estimated cost range of this project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Network Analysis will not be required. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the "Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988." This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will also be available on or about May 7, 2001 on the internet at http://www.sas.usace.army.mil/ebs/. Amendments to this solicitation will be posted on the internet at the above address unless the total amended compressed files are greater than 5 MBYTES in which case a new CD ROM disk will be issued. For amendments that are posted only on the internet, an amendment of solicitation/modification of contract (SF 30), and a list of revised specifications and drawings will be mailed to each bidder.
