Description

This publication serves as a notice of intent to procure, on a one time basis, the installation of catch basin inserts on de-ice pits 1,2, and 3 located on the aircraft parking apron at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, Niagara Falls, NY, also designed to operate as storm water catch basins. The desired result of this contract is to prevent the odor caused by traces of de-icing fluid, from eminating from storm drain or de-icing system. The system is designed to prevent the flow of de-icing fluid into the storm drain system and block the storm drain catch basins with inserts and thereby contain the odor. The mechanism for restricting the flow must be designed so that it does not restrict storm water flow under wet conditions when de-icing is not taking place. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. This publication will represent the only official notice.
