Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound, is soliciting a Direct Vendor Delivery Contract for various sizes of fire retardant lumber. Types of lumber will include but not limited to 2 X 4, 2X 6, 2X 8, 2 X 10, 2#12 rough full sawn, fire retardant, Douglas Fir, Ty-2, CAT-2. Construction Plywood, in all widths X 48" X 96", 5-ply, fire retardant, TY-A Grade C-C, Exterior TY-2 Cat-2. This will be a direct vendor delivery for these items at in the Puget Sound area with the majority being delivered to the Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton WA. Deliveries will be FOB Destination. The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract. The period of performance will be date of award continuing one year thereafter with 4 options with an economic price adjustment. Award will be based on technically acceptable, price and delivery. This procurement is in accordance with the format in part 12. A FORMAL SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. A pre proposal conference is being planned The government reserves the right to make multiple awards. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted. Given that this category falls with in the annual forecast as published in the Commerce Business Daily and in accordance with Far 5.203(h) the time frame for publication of the synopsis and receipt of offers has been reduced to 31 days.
