Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command is requesting information regarding the availability of a nondevelopmental light mortar. The threshold requirements for this mortar are as follows: (a) Consist of no more than three (3) major components. (b) Weight shall not exceed 50 pounds (US) overall, with no component weighing more than 20 pounds (US). (c) Must be compatible with standard US/NATO 60mm mortar ammunition. (d) Maximum range shall be at least 3500 meters. The Marine Corps is looking at a possible replacement for the current M224 60mm mortar. This is just a request for information. Please respond with a statement of your firm's capability to provide a nondevelopmental light mortar as described herein, along with references and brochures.
