Description

This project includes clearing and grubbing, demolition and removal of existing vault toilet, picnic tables, and campfire rings; new construction includes shoreline stabilization consisting of earthwork, vegetation, riprap, and stone filled gabion baskets, cast-in-place concrete, stone masonry walls, installation of pre-manufactured vault toilet, waterline and hydrant, concrete stairs with metal handrails, aggregate surfacing, service gates, sitting rocks, pre-cast concrete blocks, picnic tables, campfire rings and landscaping. The project area is located approximately 19 kilometers by paved road from downtown Juneau, Alaska. The contract time is 455 calendar days. The estimated price range is $250,000 to $500,000. The solicitation will be posted to the Tongass National Forest Homepage for viewing and printing on or about April 20, 2001.
