Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE -- TO NOTIFY CONTRACTORS OF A FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION -- Title: REPAIRS KNOX SOFTBALL FIELD #2, AT THE NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION, CHINA LAKE, CA. -- The contract will require water supply installation, drinking fountain replacement, irrigation system replacement, field grading, sod turf replacement, infield surface replacement with softball bases, chain link fencing with concrete mow strip, scoreboard with electrical supply and controls, plus incidental related work. The ball field spans approximately 2 acres. The contract will require a 270 days period of turf establishment. This solicitation will include and additive bid item, for dugout replacement. The new dugout will be cast in place concrete. This solicitation is unrestricted. The NAICS Code is 235990, with a related small business standard of $11,500,000. This solicitation is for a Firm Fixed Price contract. The estimated cost range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Project completion time is 150 calendar days for the installation, plus 270 days of turf establishment. -- Potential bidders should request IFB N68711-01-B-0424 over the Internet at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil as an Electronic Bid Solicitation (EBS). The subject "Procurement Notice" should appear in the CBD on 7 April 2001. No paper copies will be available. The response time, as required by FAR 5.203, would begin on the date of issuance of the EBS solicitation. EBS solicitation packages may be acquired by registration and download at the Internet EBS Web Site. All prospective offerors must register as plan holders on the EBS Web Site for this project. Plan Centers are also required to register. Plan holders lists will not be mailed or faxed and will only be available at the EBS Web Site. The Official Plan Holders list will be maintained on and can be printed from the EBS Web Site. All requests on the Web Site must include (1) complete solicitation number and project title and (2) company name, point of contact, address, phone number, and e-mail address of the registering company. Each company must also identify whether the firm is a small business, small disadvantaged business, or large business and if the firm is a woman-owned business.
