Description

Construct five (5) dikes and three (3) ditch plugs for the purpose of restoring a former wetland in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. The major items of work are: approximately 4,740 cubic yards of earthfill; approximately 135 excavation; two (2) 15" diameter corrugated aluminum pipe water control structures with 30" flashboard risers; removal of approximately 600 feet of tile line (50 feet each at 12 locations); approximately 3,200 cubic yards stockpiling and respreading topsoil; and approximately 3.9 acres seeding. The estimated price is in the range of $25,000 to $100,000. The pre-quotation conference and site showing will be held April 26, 2001 beginning at 10:00 AM in Conference Room No. 203, County Agricultural Building, 1550 Henley Street, NE, Orangeburg, SC. Performance time is 45 calendar days after receiving a notice to proceed. The Request for Quotations with drawings and specifications will be issued at the conference. Written quotations may be submitted in hard copy or by facsimile transmission to Dorothea Martinez at (803) 253-3670 or mailed to the above address. Quotations must be received by the contracting office not later than May 4, 2001.
