Description

The Nashville District is soliciting quotes to furnish electrical ground testing at Old Hickory Lock, Old Hickory, TN; Cordell Hull Lock, Carthage, TN and Kentucky Lock, Grand Rivers, KY. Services to be performed are site testing, office reporting and meetings, and report reviews. A written report of findings shall be submitted following completion of ground testing. During site testing periods the following shall be accomplished: preparation of plans, conduct tests and conduct inspections with submission of a report including comments and recommendations. Tests include earth resistivity test using the Four-Point method in accordance with IEEE standards, soil resistance test to establish grounding point, current (ma) check on all ground conductors and ground test on ground grid, gates, fences, handrails, light poles, floor mesh, transformers, tow haulage and other equipment with exposed metal. A Solicitation shall be forwarded on or abut 21 April 2001 to those parties responding to this CBD inquiry. Please indicate your availability to proceed with this work as soon as possible. It is anticipated that the quotes for the Solicitation could be due on or about 7 May 2001. Quotes are to be received by the close of business (4:15 P.M. Central Standard Time) 7 May 2001. This Solicitation is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 541380. Size Standard for Small Business is $5 million. Responsible sources requesting solicitation documents may submit a quote which will be considered by the Agency.
