Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. The resulting award is set aside for SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE program. The NAICS/SIC is 334119/3577 with a 500 person size standard. The 437th MXS Maintenance Squadron, Charleston AFB SC requires a Bar Coding System. The system will be utilized at 8 locations on Charleston AFB and should be installed on 15 PCs. User License will be needed for each of the 8 locations and 15 PCs. On-site Installation and Training, Annual Support, 5 ea Benchstock Modules, 1 ea View Picture Module, 15 ea Laser Scanner Guns, 8 ea Bar Code Printer with initial Load of Labels, and 4 each Portable Scanner & Infra-red Adapters are required. The Bar Coding System must be capable of providing the following: 1. Providing tool accountability and producing reports for items located at Charleston AFB and deployed. 2. Maintaining unlimited activity history for each item. 3. Providing a history of items issued to a specific individual for a specified period. 4. Scheduling multiple inspections for each item as necessary. 5. Notifying user whenever any scheduled inspection date has been reached or passed. 6. Displaying broken or to_be-replaced remarks for items scheduled for inspection. 7. Producing CACRL & ECL lists. 8. Displaying or printing an Items-Still-Out report by Individual, Shift, Flight, or All items out. 9. Automatically printing hand-receipts when required. 10. Automatically changing an item from one individual to another during posting out. 11. Finding/displaying items by asset number, part number, serial number CACRL number, NSN number or keyword(s) search description. 12. Scanning military ID barcode to identify individuals receiving tools. 13. Providing tool management at deployed locations. 14. Linking digital images of special tools to item records for viewing. 15. Generating benchstock re-order forms and tracking quantities authorized and on order. 16. Allowing simultaneous operations from multiple workstations connected to the tool shop server. 17. Providing prompt modem support to eliminate any problems. 18. Automated self back up of system. 19. Restricting the issuing of selected items to only authorized individuals. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award.
