Description

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms currently has a contract with Forensic Technology, Inc. for the purchase of integrated ballistic identification systems. The contract also provide maintenance, upgrades, and service for these units. The current contract may soon reach its ceiling. ATF is placing this request for information from industry to determine if there are any sources that can provide compatible integrated ballistic identification systems. Service, maintenance and upgrades would have to be available for these systems as well as for units now in place. The current units are deployed throughout the United States to ATF, as well as to state and local law enforcement agencies. It should be noted that the current systems use proprietary software. This is not a pre-solicitation notice and there is no solicitation document available. Anyone interested is encouraged to send a letter of interest and capabilities statement to ATF within 15 calendar days of Commerce Business Daily publication of this announcement.
