Description
The purpose of this Sources Sought synopsis is to obtain information from sources that feel they are capable of supporting the Joint Threat Warning System (JTWS) program umbrella with current non-developmental items. The specific segment of the JTWS program addressed by this Sources Sought is solely associated with new Threat Warning components that can be integrated into a common operating environment for maritime, air, ground and unattended system configurations fielded on behalf of Special Operations Forces (SOF) Products will be evaluated and tested to determine the effectiveness for integration into the JTWS Component Architecture and Framework (JCAF) associated with all JTWS configurations and systems development. This capability will allow for operation in numerous geographic locations and extreme climates. All products must meet stringent requirements for size, weight, power and transportability. It is anticipated that this segment of JTWS will provide advanced passive target detection, monitoring & jamming capability to include cellular & pager devices against designated targets of opportunity. At this time it is requested that all interested parties respond by submitting capabilities of their existing hardware to include its availability for comparative testing. The statement should specifically address a capability overview to include related technology. This request for information is in coordination with the JTWS Monitor and Jamming Devices (Suitcase size PSTN Voice and Fax Monitoring System and a Cellular Telephone nullifier); Cellular and Pager Monitoring Devices; and Passive Radio Frequency Target Detection (Bi-Static Radar), Foreign Comparative Test (FCT) program. Therefore, all manufacturers are encouraged to respond. This announcement is NOT a Request for Bid or Proposal, but a Sources Sought and does not commit the Government to award a contract under the above listed terms, nor is the Government responsible to pay for samples or information received. Candidate hardware descriptions shall be submitted by 20 April 2001. Responses should be sent to the United States Special Operations Command, Directorate of Procurement, 7701 Tampa Point Blvd, MacDill AFB, FL 33615 Attn: SOAL KB, Ms. Sandra Smith or via e-mail smiths1@socom.mil.
