Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-23. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 441210, Travel Trailer Dealers. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The proposed contract is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The USDA Forest Service is planning to purchase three (3) travel trailers. Solicitation No. R1-01-20 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This contract will be a firm fixed-price contract. Requirements are: 23 feet to 27 feet in length, not including tongue length; slide out in living area, approximate size of slide out is to be between 2 to 4 feet deep and 10 feet to 14 feet in length; bedroom location to be at the end of the unit; two (2) twin beds; minimum size 8 cubic foot double door refrigertor; microwave; range with oversize oven; 30 pound propane bottles with cover; 15 inch radial tires; spare tire kit with carrier and cover; front and rear stabilizer jacks; standard hitch; aluminum siding; awning; easy fill water tank; no air conditioner. Delivery location: Regional Field Service Facility located at 14th and Catlin Streets, Missoula, Montana. Delivery date: On or before June 15, 2001. Offeror may use readily available product literature to provide a technical description of the products offered.
