Description

The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), 6900 Main St. Stratford, Ct. 06601 for fiscal year (FY) 2002 Special Progressive Aircraft Rework (SPAR) and other depot-level maintenance and support services associated with the VH-3D and VH-60N Executive Transport Helicopters. This SPAR effort includes the procurement of spare parts, overhaul of repairable components, technical publications, support equipment and special mission requirements for the VH-3D and VH-60N aircraft. This effort also includes a Mid Tour SPAR (MTS) of the VH-60N, which includes inspecting, repainting, and refurbishment of the aircraft. SAC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the VH-3D and the VH-60N aircraft and the only known source possessing the knowledge, experience, and technical data necessary to perform this effort.
