- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a non-personal services contract to provide Radiology Services to the inmate population at the Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, West Virginia. Duties include: services of a licensed radiologist and radiological technician, and radiology / ultrasound services with interpretations. Radiology services as requested by FPC medical staff. Types of studies/tests include: basic radiology, abdominal u/s, vascular doppler study, pelvis u/s, obstetric u/s, thyroid u/s, and breast u/s. Individual requirements include: Radiology technician must be licensed and board certified in radiology with a minimum of one year of experience; radiologist must possess current state licensure to practice medicine without restrictions, and be board certified in radiology. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of the institution will be required to submit to security clearances. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government with price and other factors considered. The base year will run for twelve months from the date of award with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. Anticipated date of award is June 29, 2001. It is anticipated this solicitation will be mailed approximately April 30, 2001 with an anticipated due date of May 30, 2001. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price Requirements type contract. The radiology technician will normally be scheduled for 5 sessions per week, with each session being defined as six hours in length, and the radiologist will be normally scheduled for 4 sessions per month, with each session being defined as four hours. Total tests/studies for a twelve-month period is estimated to be 485. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered for award.
