Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Bio-Rad Life Science Group, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the following items: 1) 170-8750 Optical Upgrade to Icycler Thermal Cycler, 2) 170-8720 Icycler Thermal Cycler, 3) 170-8778 Icycler IQ:VIC/HEX/TET/CY3 set, 4) 170-8740WM Extended Warranty for optical unit, 5) 170-8720WM Extended Warranty for Thermal Cycler, 6) 170-8740WS Extended Warranty for optical system. Specific features required are: 1) Real time analysis accomplished on line during the PCR, 2) Range of fluorophore frm 400-700 NM, 3) Four different reporters multiplexed per sample tube, 4) 96 Samples tracked simultaneously, 5) Small Equipment Footprint (approx 34X5CM or less), 6) Sample block needs to be interchangeable to allow for use as a "normal" PCR thermocycler. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 5 days of this notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Bio-Rad. The NAICS Code/Size is 339111/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.*****
