Description

This is not a request for proposals. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. McConnell AFB, KS is searching for sources that can supply commercially available aircraft air-conditioning units. Unit should be 166,000 BTUH, operating on refrigerant R-134A. Unit should be capable of providing either ventilating air or cool, dehumidified air at a temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit and at ambient temperatures of -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The unit should be able to produce an outlet volume of 100 pounds per minute at a static pressure of 0 to 4 pounds per square inch through one or two 8-inch diameter ducts. Unit should operate automatically after start-up. McConnell AFB will consider units ran by multi-fuel diesel motors or electricity. Electrical are preferred. Units can be trailer or skid mounted; however, some degree of mobility is desired. McConnell AFB will consider outright purchase or hot weather leasing, to be determined at time of acquisition. There is no specific format or outline that your response must follow. It is also encouraged to submit other descriptive literature and any other specific and pertinent information that would enhance our consideration and evaluation of the information submitted.
