Description
WR-ALC/LEKVB intends to solicit for the commercial acquisition of NSN 1740-01-367-9485. Noun: U-30 Tow Tractor. Description: Primarily used for towing C-5 military aircraft on US Air Force installations. Complete commercial item description will be available at http://pkec.robins.af.mil Item 0001, Color #24052, OD Green. Item 0001AA, same as Item 0001, Quantity: 2. Item 0001AB, same as Item 0001, except California Emission is required, Quantity: 1. Item 0001AC, same as Item 0001, Quantity: 2. Item 0002, Various Data requirements. Two, one year options will be solicited using a quantity range of 1-10 each. Solicitation will be posted to the http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ and http://pkec.robins.af.mil web sites, with an anticipated issue/posting date on/about 30 Apr 01. No telephone requests or hardcopy mailings will be honored. All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, regarding this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the Contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. When appropriate, potential offerors may contact Ombudsman James Grant, Chief, Contract policy Division, at 478-926-2604. Please be prepared to identify previous contacts made by you in an attempt to resolve your concerns. Offers in response to solicitations under ten million dollars may be evaluated using the competition for performance program as follows: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation.
