- Description
- Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to replace two existing stormwater outfall lines at U.S. Coast Guard Sandy Hook Station, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The work includes but is not limited to: removing and disposing of the two existing drainage lines which are approximately 140 LF of 18 inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) and approximately 175 LF of 18 or 24 inch RCP, installation of new drainage outfall lines in the same direction, one shall be 180 LF of 18 inch diameter RCP and the other 240 LF of 24 inch RCP. The work also includes repair of the existing bituminous concrete roadway, concrete sidewalk and concrete curb. This Request for Quotations is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation. This project is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The applicable NAICS Code is 234910. The tentative date for receipt of quotes is 22 May 2001. Bid packages will be available on or about 23 April 2001 at a non-refundable charge of $15. Certified Checks or money orders should be made payable to Commercial Blue Print and Supply and mailed to the firm at: 83 Waverly Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Do not send fees to the Coast Guard. All relevant solicitation documents including specifications and drawings may be accessed for download for free commencing on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.eps.gov. Any amendments issued under this solicitation shall also be posted on this website. Also, you may refer to a list of other printers on the U.S. Coast Guard CEU/PROVIDENCE website at http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/ceuprovidence. Printers on this list may be able to download and print the solicitation and drawings and specifications for a fee. For minority, women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises: the Department of Transportation (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT bonding assistance program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
