FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN YOUR FIRM NOT RECEIVING A COPY OF ANY AMENDMENTS AS WE ARE ONLY SENDING THEM OUT ELECTRONICALLY NOW. PROJECT TITLE: Richmond Inner Harbor, Maintenance Dredging, Contra Costa County, CA. This proposed contract is for UNRESTRICTED competition. The acquisition method is Invitation for Bid (IFB). JOB DESCRIPTION: The work consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 275,000 cubic yards of material to provide a project depth of minus 38 feet MLLW, plus 1 foot allowable over depth, and disposing of all dredged material in the designated Government -- Furnished open water disposal area (SF-DODS) or an alternate Contractor -- Furnished land disposal area. This Procurement will be conducted under NAICS Code 234990. The standard size for this NAICS is $17,000,000.00. The estimated cost is over $1,000,000.00-$5,000,000.00. The bidders attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Large businesses competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52,219-9 Clause regarding the requirement to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are 61.4% for Small Business, 9.1% for Small Disadvantaged Businesses, and 5.0% for Small Business/Women-Owned. A firm that submits a plan with lower goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted. For more information on this Solicitation please contact the Contract Specialist, James E. Because a limited number of sets will be reproduced, copies are limited to one set per firm. CD-ROMs must be ordered by the CUT OFF DATE: 04/24/2001. Plans and specifications can only be ordered electronically by accessing the Internet address http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil/. Please complete the requested information to avoid a delay in your order. Orders received beyond the CUT OFF DATE: 04/24/2001 will not be considered. CD-ROMs will be mailed out on or about 04/30/2001.
