Description

This is a combined sole source synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation number for this acquisition is for MDA113-00-T-0010. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23 (Initial Effective Date 20 Feb 01). This is a sole source requirement being pursued with Sony Electronics, Inc in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Final delivery date for the first unit is requested on 01 Nov 2001, second unit is due on 03 Dec 2001, third unit is due on 3 Jan 2002 and fourth unit is due on 05 Feb 2002. FOB Point is Destination. Delivery is to be made to the Range Operations at Vandenberg AFB CA. Responses to this notice shall be in writing and make reference to this RFP. There is one contract line item for four (4) each DOS-Z300-820/6400-AP Zoom Lens Systems.
