Description

The work covered by these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies (except Government furnished supplies hereinafter specified), materials, and vehicle transportation; and in performing all operations in connection with Custodial Services, complete, in strict accordance with specifications, and schedules, and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract at Anniston Army Depot. The purpose of this contract is to provide custodial services for the depot premises listed in the contract performance and cost schedules in accordance with established methods and cleaning standards stated there in. Standards established in the Department of Army Technical Manual 5-690, Military Custodial Services Manual, 8 October 1982, with changes will be the minimum acceptable standards for the work performed by the contractor under this contract. Method outlined in this manual shall serve, in general, as a guide to the contractor for accomplishing the custodial services outlined under the provisions of the contract. All questions as to the quality of work, methods of accomplishing the work, quality or type of cleaning supplies and products to be used, and any other points not covered specifically in these specifications shall be governed by, and shall be equal to, or exceed the recommendations set forth in this technical manual. The following Government Furnished Property (GFP) will be furnished in sufficient quantities without cost to the contractor: (1) Soap, hand, toilet ( liquid and powder) P-S-624, (2)Toilet tissue, Fed. Spec. UU-P-556, (3)Towels, paper, Fed, Spec. UU-T-591, (4) Eyeglass cleaning fluid, (5) Eyeglass cleaning tissue, (6) Sand for refilling sand urns, (7) all utilities required for normal operation. No extension or modification to the existing water or electrical distribution system will be made for this purpose, except at the expense of the contractor or when specified and approved by the Contracting Officer, (8) large collection bags for garbage, and (10) protective mask for wearing when cleaning buildings 635, 694, 695, 697, 705 and 708. The government will fit these masks to the individuals and issue them. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is: 561720. The size standard is $12.0 Million. This job is for a base year with four option years. THIS PROJECT IS RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION ELIGIBLE 8(a) FIRMS Nationwide. Estimated Request for Quotation issue date is 9 May 2001. This Solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102 (a)(7) and 14.205-1(c); therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
