Description

Construct a full stream baghouse for each of the 6 operating boilers of the Central heat and Power Plant (CHPP) located on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The purpose of the project is to filter particulate out of the boiler emissions, reducing opacity and allowing the CHPP to operate in full compliance with the opacity requirements of the Clean Air Act. The baghouses will be located in a new building adjacent to the CHPP. The baghouses must be fully operational not later that 30 September 2003 (including all testing and commissioning). Upgrade of the CHPP's 6 operating boilers is ongoing with completion scheduled after 30 September 2003. Coordination of work will be required.
