Description

The National Library of Medicine (NLM intends to conduct negotiations with Biological Abstracts, Inc. (BIOSIS) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a contract which provides a License Agreement for the permanent use of data from BIOSIS databases including BIOSIS Previews and Biological Abstracts in its online information retrieval services, TOXLINE. The license will be for data from the contractor for 1965 through December, 2000, which is already in the TOXLINE files. NLM would experience an unacceptable delay and substantial duplication of costs should another source be used to reproduce the data collection already in place at BIOSIS. The proposed project will provide the BIOSIS license agreement for the permanent use of the historically collected citations. This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP), nor is an RFP available. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the NLM. Inquiries may be referred to Mary M.
