Description

Operation Support Command intends to issue a solicitation request for Quotation DAAA09-01-Q-3022 under the test program of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. This solicitation will be in accordance with Equipment Specification #3-01-3415 for Rebuild of a 1954 Bryant Internal Grinder, Model number 2440-RY, Serial number W-10829. The Grinder is currently located at Watervliet Arsenal, New York. The grinder is equipped with two in-line 4-jaw chucks (one at each end of the hollow spindle), a hydraulic cam tracing unit, an internal grinding quill and a detached 4 wheel workpiece loading carriage, located to the left of the workhead (headstock). At a minimum, the machine rebuild shall consist of the rebuild/replacement of the complete headstock (workhead) system, horizontal way surfaces, wheelhead cross slide and hydraulic feed cylinder, grinding spindle (quill), hydraulic system, cam tracing unit, lubrication system, operators controls and replacement of the coolant filtration system. Prior to submitting a technical proposal, it is strongly recommended that offerors make a site visit to Watervliet Arsenal. This shall be accomplished one week after solicitation is issued. Point of contact for that site visit will be in solicitation. This solicitation is subject to availability of funds. FOB: Destination; Firm Fixed Price. Procurement is unrestricted.
